Abílio Duarte Secondary School mourns geography teacher 18 June 2012
Abílio Duarte Secondary School in the Praia neighborhood of Palmarejo is mourning the “irreparable loss” of its geography teacher, Dioneia Garcia Lima, who died this weekend in the city of Praia.
“Upon learning the sad news of the physical disappearance of our teacher, friend and colleague Dioneia Garcia Lima, better known as Neia, who was working as a geography teacher at Abílio Duarte Secondary School, the institution’s educational community hereby expresses its deepest sorrow and extends its condolences to her family, friends and fellow teachers,” reads a communiqué from the high school.
The communiqué describes the 27-year-old teacher as “an unconditional friend and a great professional who earned the immense esteem and admiration of all of her colleagues and students in the arduous and noble mission of teaching.”
