Police arrest suspect in weekend murder in Praia 11 June 2012
The National Police Crime Investigation and Combat Brigade arrested the individual presumed to have murdered Paulo Barros this weekend in the Praia neighborhood of Meio de Achada de Santo António. The suspect, known as Vitinho, was arrested near his home in the same neighborhood. The case has been handed over to the Judiciary Police for further investigation.
Two suspected delinquents known as Vitinho and Yo Preto entered an apartment building in the early morning hours of Sunday, broke into Paulo Barros’ home and allegedly shot the 26-year-old Praia main four times. Barros died immediately.
